A new issue of the standard ECSS-Q-ST-60-13 is currently in preparation. Three main topics will be introduced in this new issue: the parts with pure tin termination, the recognition of the AEC-Q levels and the use of passive commercial parts. These 3 topics will be detailed during this presentation.

The CPSA is a project supported by Alter Technology to provide Consultancy services related to EEE parts during the early phase of space missions covered by the ESA Science Programme. At this stage, the definition of technical aspects and requirements for the different instruments is still taking place, and it is the best moment for EEE part selection and assessment according to mission requirements.

The different DD level may be obtained by different particles.
Proton is preferred. The energy of proton should be selected based on the proton energy spectrum inside of the spacecraft.
Neutron may give underestimate test results.
TID and DDD should be tested on the same group samples.

Optical transceiver technology devices have shown an increase on performance and a reduction in SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) by their inclusion in Very High Throughput Satellites (VHTS) payloads. To ensure their practical use in space applications, they need a compact package, low power consumption, and highly reliable.
