From 15 to 16 May 2019, the Tenth Workshop on Electronic Materials and Processes for Space will be held in Villepinte, France.
The workshop will bring together spacecraft engineers, as well as people interested in high-reliability electronics and manufacturing of electronic assemblies intended to withstand assembly, storage and ground test conditions and the conditions imposed by launchers and the space flight environments.
The objectives of the workshop are to promote the development and awareness of materials and manufacturing processes utilized for space applications and to foster the discussion and exchanges of knowledge among the industry and research centers actively involved in space applications and other high-reliability electronics. Students and trainees are encouraged to attend and to submit a proposal for poster presentation. On behalf of Alter Technology two conferences will be offered by our engineers:
- Scanning Acoustic Microscopy: Test flow and Procedures for the Assessment of Delamination Flaws and Historical Results Review
- Influence of Assembly Methods and Thermal Cycling on MLCC Capacitors on Crack Appearance
This event is done in conjunction with the European Space Agency and the University of Portsmouth. The EMPS brings together more than 100 participants including quality materials, components, and engineers from industry, academia, and agencies such as ESA, NASA, CNES, and ASI.
