TDK Corporation has extended its product range of EMC filters for the Japanese market and now offers the new EPCOS three-phase EMC filters series B84743*R712 for drive applications that are available in L1 low-profile type and book type. TDK-Lambda Corporation will start shipping from August 2020.
The filters are available in the currents 80 A up to 150 A with a small mounting footprint and – as required by the Japanese market – low leakage currents based on 200 V AC delta connection mains with one corner grounded. Furthermore, two types of leakage current have been set by the Y capacitor (ground capacitor): 2 mA / 9.4 mA; 200 VAC / 60 Hz, delta connection. It is also possible to meet the attenuation effect required by the customer.
The rated voltage specification of the B84743*R712 is 520 V (maximum voltage in 3 phase), and three rated current models (80/100/150 A) are available. This is the first time that L1 book type is added to the product lineup.
This product development focuses on space-saving and weight reduction with the industry’s smallest class of installation area: 240 x 130 x 80 mm for 80 A type, 270 x 130 x 80 mm for 100 A and 310 x 130 x 90 mm for 150 A type for L1 version (low profile – dimensions always with terminals). Compared to current products, the low-profile type saves space by 40% and is 45% lighter, contributing to downsizing and space-saving of the end equipment.
Main applications
- Drive system (servo/inverter), factory automation, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, industrial equipment
Main features and benefits
- Suitable for the drive system
- Two types of models with the same characteristics: low profile type and book type
- Small size/lightweight, an installation area is the smallest class in the industry
- Japanese specification for low leakage current design (2 mA / 9.4 mA: 200 VAC / 60 Hz, delta connection)
