Attenuators, Thermal Conductors and Inductors
With decades of experience in high-reliability thin-film products for the RF, Microwave, Telecommunications, Medical, Fiber-Optics, Defense, Space and Commercial industries, PPI produces the highest quality and broadest variety of resistors and Thin Film components (Standard and Custom designed). Facilities include an in-house RF lab that enables PPI to characterize both commercial and MIL-PRF-55342 Class H qualified parts. Capabilities include, but are not limited to, filled vias, gold bumping, and castellations on substrates from AlN to Quartz. Standard lead times are typically 4-8 weeks.
Thin Film Fixed Attenuators in circuits are used to lower the amplitude of the signal a known amount, to lower voltage, dissipate power, and to improve impedance matching. PPI attenuators are known for their low SWR and flat frequency response.
Product Features:
Style
Standard Attenuators
PPI Series
PAT
Attenuation Range
0.5dB to 24.5dB
Operating Frequencies
DC to 40GHz
Power Handling
250mW to 16W
Thin Film Thermal Conductors are a passive heat exchanger that transfers the heat generated by an electronic device to a thermal ground plane or any specific thermal point where it gets dissipated away from the device.
Product Features:
Style
Thermal Conductors
PPI Series
PTC
Insulation Resistance
10^12Ω min at 25˚C
Along with Capacitors and Resistors, Thin Film Inductors are one of the three passive linear circuit elements that make up electronic circuits. They are also used in electronic filters to separate signals of different frequencies, to block AC while allowing DC to pass, and in combination with capacitors to make tuned circuits.
Product Features:
Style
Spiral Inductors
PPI Series
PLS
Inductance
1.2nH to 28nH
Operating Frequency
DC to 500MHz
