ABSTRACT
To ensure the availability of series production or spare parts, long-term storage of critical components is nowadays inevitable.
Aging processes and their risk factors for storing illustrate that simple storage of the required electronic components in nitrogen dry packs is not sufficient to permanently ensure their future reliability.
By means of comparing different storage methods, advantages and disadvantages are discussed, and alternatives are presented in order to achieve a storability of up to 50 years.
