Abstract:
AXAXL, a leading space insurer, benefits from a large amount of historical data and is able to deeply analyse satellite failure statistics.
When contemplating the usage of COTS, these data are helpful to address some questions to the space community, to understand better and possibly suggest how COTS might be implemented from an insurer point of view. In this presentation, we will address the challenges of using COTS and explore its possible impacts on the space insurance community.
